William Fu, LCHS
My name is William Fu. Right now (2014) I am a junior at La Canada High.
Aside from academic classes I participate in math competitions, and
right now I’m the captain of the math team at LCHS. Aside from doing
math olympiads I program stuff during my free time. Aside from math
and programming I also enjoy playing badminton or ping pong after
school. If you visit La Canada High anytime after school go to the
cafeteria and I’ll probably be there playing ping pong.
Suraj Patel, LCHS
My name is Suraj Patel. Currently I am at La Canada High School as a
senior. As a student, I am diligent and hard working. Besides being in the
top 15 percentile in California based on the Grade point average and Sat
scores, I am always trying to help other people. I have volunteered at
USC County Hospital for 4 years of my high school career, and I have
done a research internship at USC Keck Hospital studying the embryo of
mice. The purpose of studying the mice embryo. I have participated in
the creation of this application to further my goals for helping people. I
believe this app will benefit everyone. I also participated in this app to
learn more about iOS coding. Working to complete this application was a
challenge for me as well as my team members because of the challenge
of balancing school and other extracurriculars, but we have successfully
overcame this. I hope you appreciate our application as much as I do!
Philip Wu, LCHS
My name is Philipp Wu. Currently I am a high school senior at La Canada
High. Besides focusing on academics I am president of the schools
engineering club, where our goal is to spread engineering in our
community and let students have hands on practice with engineering. I
participated in making this app because I felt that it was something
purposeful and worthwhile to do while also giving me some extra
experience. Also apps are something that many as well as I use, so
learning how to make one not only would help others but really let me
appreciate the intricacies and hard work put into each app. In my free
time I enjoy reading and playing around with some 3D animations.
Albert Zhai, LCHS
My name is Albert Zhai, and I am a sophomore at La Canada High
School, where I strive to succeed in academics. I enjoy activities such as
visual art, piano, and mathematics. I am interested in technology and
contributing to the health of the society, so I joined the team on this
app. I plan on doing something in the biomedical enginnering field in the
future, so working on this Hearing Test application is a helpful
experience.
Alex Zhao, LCHS
I am Alex Zhao, a sophomore at La Canada High. I enjoy challenging
myself through both school courses and various interesting
extracurricular activities. Since middle school, I have participated in
competitive national debate, traveling to various tournaments
throughout the country to debate on a variety of topics. I play water polo
and run track with the school team as well, something that has taught
me the importance of balancing academic ventures with other pursuits.
In addition to being a speech and debate captain, I am an officer of
Science Team and Key Club. I like to volunteer and cooperate with my
peers at La Canada. I love to solve problems and contribute to the
community. As a student interested in both technology and the
humanities, the process of creating this Hearing Assessment app was an
incredible experience. This app was a great way for me to channel my
interest in technologically based solutions to common health issues.
